Shar Feil-Moorman.

The WORKSHOPS FOR 2023 and 2024 had to be cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances.

I highly recommend Grace McDonald to anyone interested in Warm Glass, whether your passion is kiln fired glass, torch work, or other techniques involving the manipulation and bonding of glass through heat.

Grace is an exceptional teacher whose wide technical knowledge, practical experience and generous approach to sharing her expertise provide a great opportunity for both beginners and experienced glass artists.  Her guidance can significantly fast-track your learning, saving you considerable time, experimentation, and expense while helping you develop sound technical skills and confidence.

If you are serious about exploring or advancing your journey in Warm Glass, I encourage you to participate in Grace’s teaching or mentorship program.

Please contact Grace McDonald to learn more about the opportunities she offers at Azure Glass 0415 778 609 or sales@azureglass.com.au

Commissioned to fabricate a glass torso of Wendy Barnes; my intention of the Sculpture was to embrace this story, which reflects a courageous friends breast cancer journey, transformed into Sculptured Glass. Sculpting a clay torso as a prelude to the final piece in Sculptured Glass.

The concept is about memories, seeking out the beauty around and shifting to a different reality all frozen in glass.

The essence of the reflective, transmitted, translucent glass Sculpture was to create a personal atmosphere evoking strong family and friends support (the form is curved to symbolizing nurturing and colour movement uniting, harmonious and quiet,) the cleansing nature of water washing over the body (Mooloolaba swim,) and the ascending vertical glass sections along with horizontal Angle wings represent bringing joy and support to others.
